Prince Wills heads to the Caribbean for secret Navy training mission
London, Nov 21 : British royal Prince Williams is heading to the Caribbean region for a secret training mission with the Special Boat Service (SBS).
The 26-year-old heir-to-throne will experience how the unit - the Navy version of the Special Air Service - tackles drug runners and pirates.
According to the sources, Williams has flown to Barbados and will spend at least ten days with the SBS.
However, the details of his deployment have been kept a secret for security reasons.
Williams is expected to go on exercise in powerful speedboats used to capture bandits.
SBS troops carry out secret missions in the notorious Caribbean, making daring raids on suspicious vessels and gathering intelligence.
"William will not face a conflict situation," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.
"It's a training mission, not an operational one. It's a first for the Royals and is only possible because he's a trained soldier," the source added.
