SDSA impose economic blockade on NH in Manpur

Imphal, Nov 20: The Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) has reimposed economic blockade on National Highway 39 from Nov 19, Wednesday, midnight to protest the failure of the government to repair the highway.

The SDSA had imposed indefinite blockade on the highway from November 1 and relaxed it after Manipur Works Minister K Ranjit Singh appealed to the students to withdraw the blockade as the people were facing hardships.

The Works Minister had assured to repair the highway.

However, the SDSA was not satisfied with the steps taken up to repair the highway and hence reimposed the blockade.
