'Direct contest b/w BJP and Congress in Ch'garh polls'

Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Nov 20: Former chief minister and Congress star campaigner Ajit Jogi on Thuursday, Nov 20 said there is a direct contest between the Congress and the BJP in Chhattisgarh Assembly elections and claimed that the Congress would emerge victorious. Talking to reporters after casting his vote at Saajbehra in Kota constituency, from where his doctor wife Renu is the Congress candidate, Mr Jogi said there is no relevence of any third party in the elections.

''Bahujan Samaj Party or other regional parties have no stake in the Chhattisgarh politics and only the BJP and Congress would fight it out in the Assembly polls,'' he claimed.

He said people were annoyed with the five year long corrupt practises of the BJP government and now the voters will teach them a lesson.

When asked whom did he vote for, the Congress candidate from the adjoining Marwahi (ST) seat, said that it was a secret ballot and shall not be revealed.

Mr Jogi is the native of Jogidongri village of Kota assembly constituency but the polling booth is situated in Saajbehra.
