Islamabad, Nov 19: The Pakistan government is considering including 100 new items in the positive trade list with India, a local media report said on Wednesday, Nov 19.

Officials in the Commerce Ministry said the government had directed the Federal Board of Revenue to review the additions. They said the government was also considering abolishment of non-trade barrier to promote trade with India. Bilateral trade between India and Pakistan stands at 2.12 billion dollar at the moment, and is restricted by non-tariff barriers imposed by India besides Pakistan's positive list.

The two governments opened two trade routes across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir last month. A total of 21 items were approved for import and export by the Joint Working Group of India and Pakistan, while two Facilitation Centres on either side of the LoC were established to regulate trade.
