Editors Guild mourns Mathai's demise
New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) The Editors Guild of India mourned the death of Thomas P Mathai, former editor of a weekly magazine Democratic World and a quarterly magazine, Future, here today.
He was 74.
Mathai, after distinguished service in the Government of India and the UNESCO, had pioneered the two magazines devoted to serious discussion on issues of democracy, governance and future changes in the world.
He was actively working for the cause of press freedom.
The Guild conveys its heartfelt condolences to the family members of Mathai.
