Jamir assures MNS delegation on security to Raj

Mumbai, Nov 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today urged the political parties to respect sentiments of every citizen and maintain unity and integrity of the country.

Dr Jamir was interacting with a six-member delegation of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, which called on him to restore ''Z category'' security to its leader Raj Thackeray.

The delegation, led by Assembly member Bala Nandgaonkar and Shishir Shinde, complained to the governor about the withdrawal of the top level security to Mr Thackeray by the Government on October 22, inspite of continued threat to his life.

Dr Jamir assured the delegation that he will bring the issue to the notice of the State Government.
