Birla group to open medical college in Dumka
Dumka, Nov 15 (UNI) Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi today informed that the Kolkata-based Birla group of industries would open a medical college and training institue for nurses and para-medical staff in Dumka.
''A proposal in this regard was submitted by the group and a team from the industrial house would arrive here on a visit on Novemeber 26 or 27,'' Mr Marandi told UNI.
Mr Marandi said the state government had welcomed the proposal.
The Deputy Chief Minister was here to participate in various programmes organised on the state foundation day.
