Women's organisation to protest against wine policy
Hubli, Nov 14 (UNI) The All India Women Cultural Organisation will launch an agitation across Karnataka from November 21 to protest state government's new policy allowing the sale of liquor in the open market, Organisation State Secretary B R Aparna said.
Talking to newspersons here yesterday, Ms Aparna alleged that the Government was favouring the liquor lobby in the guise of helping the grape growers.
The new wine policy would affect families and women, she alleged.
The Government under the influence of liquor lobby has considerably reduced the license fees too, she claimed and warned that if the Government did not withdraw the new policy, the stir would be intensified.
