Number of toilets reduced at Sabarimala
Pathanamthitta, Nov 12 (UNI) District Collector P C Sanal Kumar today said the number of temporary toilets at Sabarimala during the current pilgrimage season would be reduced to 1,250 from last year's 2,250.
Talking to reporters here, he said the 'Visudhi Sena' would start work from tomorrow. The Sabarimala Sanitation Society had appointed 600 workers and they would work at Pampa, Sabarimala, Nilackal and Pandalam. A sum of Rs 49.50 lakh had been allotted for Sanitory work.
A crisis management committee had been constituted with District Collector as chairman and District Superintendent of Police, duty magistrates at Pampa and Sannidhanam, Mr Sanal Kumar said.
