HC admits petition challenging selection of films for IFFK

Kochi, Nov 12 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today admitted a petition challenging the selection of films to the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) to be held at Thiruvananthapuram from December 13.

Mr Justice V Giri issued notices to the respondents including State Chalachitra Academy Festival Director, Secretary to the Department of Cultural Affairs, Selection Committee Chairman and members.

The petition was filed by director Arun R Nath alleging that the constitution of the selection committee was not in accordance with law.

The petitioner submitted that the committee did not include experts in every field.
