Encounter with NLFT, TRS jawan injured

Agartala, Nov 11 (UNI) A Tripura State Rifle (TSR) jawan was grievously injured in a fierce encounter, which took place today between the TSR and National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants in Champahawar Police Station area.

A group of NLFT militants open fired on the TRS jawan's fifth battalion in which one Arun Devnath suffered severe bullet injuries.

He was rushed to Agartala Government Medical College.

A weapon was found in Champahawar police station area yesterday, following which the operation was conducted by the TRS jawans.
