EC orders transfer of RO, ACP and SI for failing in their duties

New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) today issued transfer orders to three officers, including Returning Officer (RO) Greater Kailash, ACP New Delhi, for failing in their duties while filing of nomination papers by the candidates.

These included Returning Officer (RO) Greater Kailash Mr Bans Raj Ram, Additional Commission of Police (ACP) , New Delhi Puspender Kumar and Sub Inspector K L Yadav of Tilak Marg Police Station.

They were charged with not performing their duties regarding the EC's standing instructions about maximum number of vechiles allowed within 100 meters from the RO's office and the number of persons premitted in RO's office at the time of filing of nominations papers by the candidates.

The EC has also sought an explanation from Deputy Commissioner (DC) cum Deputy Electoral Officer (DEO) Faizi Hashmi and DCP Anand Mohan for their failure in performing their duties, said an EC order issued here.
