Social activist Sanjeev Kaul joins BJP

New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) Chairperson of United Residents Joint Action (URJA) and president of People's Action, a voluntary organisation, Sanjeev Kaul formally joined the BJP today in the presence of Party's Delhi chief Dr Harshwardhan.

The office bearers of about 900 resident organisations were also present on the occasion.

Addressing media at the party office, BJP chief recalled the long association with Mr Kaul while agitating against anti-people policies of the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress government. He saw in Mr Kaul the promise of a social reformer.

Mincing no words, Mr Kaul called the current political system opaque to the middle-class sensitivities. However, the remedy lies in engaging with the system and not alienating with it, he said calling upon more of the ilk to follow suit.
