JP Associates bidding price selected for Karchana project
Lucknow, Nov 6 (UNI) Taiprakash Associates Limited has become the front runner to grab the Karchana Super Thermal Power station to be set up under the private sector in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the financial bid opened today for the proposed Sangam Power generation company (Karchana project), the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) had found the financial bid of the JP Associates at the lowest of Rs 2.970 per unit as against three others bidders.
After JP Associates, Adnani Enterprises quoted Rs 2.981 per unit, followed by Lanco Infotech Ltd of Rs 3.188 per unit and lastly the Reliance Power Ltd of Rs 3.984 per unit.
Now, the consultant of the UPPCL will submit its report of the fincancial bid to the Bid evalution committee, on the basis of which the government will give its approval.
The 6x2 Mega Watt thermal power station will be set up at Karchana in Allahabad district and the company would be given 25 yrs lease to run the power station.
It might be recalled that this was the third financial bid for the Karchana power project. The first time, Lanco had quoted the lowest bid of Rs 2.62 per unit, while the second time Reliance Power was the lowest with Rs 2.64 per unit.
