SP to contest 100 seats in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Nov 5 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party (SP) will field around 100 candidates in December 4 Assembly polls in Rajasthan, party General Secretary Ramji Lal Suman said today.

Talking to reporters here Mr Suman, the in-charge of the party, Rajasthan unit, said his party was making serious bid for building and expanding its support base in the desert state.

"Accordingly, we are trying to field strong and serious candidates on maximum possible seats", he said.

He said the first list of the party nominees had been released today and more candidates would be announced soon.

Mr Suman said presently his party did not plan to have alliance or adjustment with any other party, including Congress, BJP and Leftists." Party supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was scheduled to visit Jaipur on November 7 to address party workers, Mr Suman added.
