Student's death sparks protest in medical college
Kancheepuram, Nov 4 (UNI) Students of a private medical college here today staged a sit-in demonstration demanding provision of adequate medical facilities in the college following the death of a student in an accident recently.
Wearing black badges, around 300 students, including girls, participated in the agitation demanding adequate provision of ambulances, doctors and proper medical facilities at the college.
Recently, Avinash, a third year student of the college, met with an accident while proceeding to the institution on a motorcycle and was taken to the college premises for treatment.
As the college lacked adequate medical facilities, he had to be rushed to the Sri Ramachandra Medical College where he breathed his last.
