Notification issued for November 29 Delhi Assembly polls
New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) The process of filing of nomination papers for November 29 polls to the Delhi Legislative Assembly began today with the issuance of notification for the Assembly elections in the state by the State Election Commission.
November 11 has been fixed as the last date for filing of nominations, scrutiny of which will be done on November 12.
The last date for the withdrawal of candidatures is November 14.
Counting of votes will be done on December eight. The term of the present Legislative Assembly of Delhi is expiring on December 17.
The Opposition Bharatiya Janta Party has declared names of candidates for 53 Assembly seats while the ruling Congress is yet to release the list of its candidates for the polls, although it had finalised the names of candidates for 53 seats last week.
