29th Jamiat session to begin from Nov 8
Hyderabad, Nov 4: The Jamiat-Ulama-i-Hind will organise its 29th two-day national session from November eight, with special focus on national integration and communal harmony. Addressing the press on Monday, Nov 3, Rajya Sabha MP and Jamiat-Ulama-i-Hind leader Maulana Mehmood Madni said the session would also focus on several important issues of the Muslim community such as demand for reservation, implementation of Sachar Committee report, Prevention of Communal Riots Bill and protection of wakf properties.
Around 10,000 prominent Muslim clerics from across the country would attend the session, he added.
A special train named 'Shaikhul Hind National Integration and Peace Express' would run from Deoband to Hyderabad to mark the occasion. It would depart from Deoband on November six, at 1200 hrs and reach Hyderabad via Delhi-Jhansi-Nagpur the next day, he said.
