Beware of middlemen, Collector warns people

Kakinada, Nov 3 (UNI) Middlemen are luring the gullible people of getting sanctioned the old age and widow pensions and economic benefits under government schemes charging upto Rs 300 each.

The East Godavari Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi himself disclosed this to mediapersons here today and warned the middle men of stringent action including filing of criminal cases against them.

He said the middlemen taking money from the people have been directing them to the Collectorate with applications for redressel of their grievances.This is leading to unusual rush at the grievances cell and the redressel of grievances getting delayed. Many of the grievances could be sorted out at Mandal level itself.

But the middlemen, taking money directing the gullible public to the Collectorate there by complicating the problem.'the Collector said.

He advised the people to approach him directly, if they fail to get their grievances redressed at mandal level,instead of falling a prey to the middlemen.The Collector has administered an oath by the Collectorate staff on the occasion that they render service to the people with much dedication, giving no scope of corruption but acting in a most transparent manner.
