Kerala Govt to set up a new pumping line at Ayyappa temple

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 1(UNI) Kerala Water Resources Minister N K Premachandran today said the Government would set up a new pumping line from Pamba to Sannidhanam, at Sabarimla Ayyappa temple.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Premachandran said a decision on the issue was taken in principle and its cost would be Rs 3.5 crore.

The Government was planning to finish its work before the next festival season, he said and added that the issue of those who would take the expense of the project, would be taken through dialogues between the Water Authority and Travancore Devaswom Board.

The Minister said the first meeting of the Pumba River Basing Authority will be held on Novermber 15 and Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan would preside the meeting.
