Three held in fake currency racket in Poonch
Jammu, Oct 30 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested three people along with fake currency in bordering Poonch district of the state, sources here said.
On the disclosure of two people, who were arrested two weeks ago from Rajouri along with the fake currency of Rs 25,000 in denomination of Rs 500, surprise raids were conducted by the police in Poonch district and three people were arrested in the fake currency racket,'' sources told UNI.
The accused have been identified as Mohmmad Rasheed, Narinder Sharma and Majeed Hussain and have been sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre.
''With the arrest of kingpins involved in the racket, recovery of more fake currency cannot be ruled out,'' sources added.
