Pondy CM calls on Union Home Minister
Puducherry, Oct 30 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister V Vaithilingam today called on Union Home Minister Shivaraj Patil in New Delhi and urged him to allot more funds for local bodies in the Union Territory.
According to official sources here, the Chief Minister also urged Mr Patil to include Puducherry in the 13th Finance Commission.
Later, he held discussions with Mr Vijay Kalkar, Chairman of the Finance Commission in this connection, the sources added.
