Bhopal, Oct 30 (UNI) A Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad team picked up a Lieutenant-Colonel from Madhya Pradesh's Pachmarhi hill station today for questioning in connection with the Malegaon blasts that claimed 29 lives and injured 30 in September.
Sources said that the officer, against whom inputs of possible linkages with some suspects have come to light, has been shifted to Mumbai.
Senior officers of Madhya Pradesh Police were declining comment.
In the wake of the arrest of former Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad activist and Malegaon blasts-accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, the ATS unsuccessfully raided a residence at Jabalpur divisional headquarters last night for arresting Abhinav Bharat Party Madhya Pradesh unit Vice-President Mayaram Jeswani.
The sadhvi, apprehended in Gujarat, hails from Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district. At least three others were arrested in this state.
