12-year-old boy's body found near Chavakkad beach in Kerala

Thrissur, Oct 28 (UNI) The body of a 12-year-old boy was found in a compound near the beach at Edakazhiyoor in Chavakkad area of Thrissur district today.

Police said the deceased was identified as Nizamuddin, son of Muhammed, a traditional fisherman of Edakazhiyoor.

A class seven student, the boy had left the house yesterday to participate in a local Panchavadi temple festival.

Police suspect he was taken to a lonely area by somebody to assault sexually and was strangulated to death .
