Royalist Party draws PM's attention to 'land encroachment'

Kathmandu, Oct 27 (UNI) Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Nepal), a pro monarchist organisation leaders met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today and drew his attention to '' encroachment of Nepali land in Susta of Nawalparasi allegedly by India''.

A delegation of the party led by Chairman and former Home Minister Kamal Thapa during the dictatorial reign of King Gyanendra, met Mr Dahal and demanded to take initiative to get the land back.

After meeting the PM, Mr Thapa told the newspersons that his party had submitted a three-point demand, including the stoppage of encroachment of Nepali land in Susta by India, return of properties captured by the Maoists and formation of all party committee at the local level.

Mr Thapa's party supports the restoration of monarchy in Nepal and he was the Home Minister during the climax of popular movement in 2006, which forced the restoration of Parliament.

Monarchy was abolished by the Constituent Assembly in May and the country was declared Republic thereafter.
