Ranjan Thakre and 4 others remanded till Nov 10
Nashik, Oct 27 (UNI) A local court today remanded NCP leader Ranjan Thakre and four of his supporters, accused of attacking the Vishwa Hindu Parishad office here on October 25, into 14 day judicial custody.
According to sources, Thakre and the four activists were in police custody till yesterday and produced before the court here today. They were remanded to judicial custody till November 10.
The NCP activists had to pay Rs 20,000 compensation for the attack on the VHP office, as per the recent ordinance passed by the Maharashtra Government.
This is the first case in the state after the Governor promulgated the ordinance.
