Tirumala, Oct 26: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board, in its meeting has resolved to distribute Bhagavath Gita Books and Sri Vari Prasadams under the Gita Govindam concept on Andhra Pradesh Prisoners.
After the board meeting, TTD trust board chairman D K Audikesavalu Naidu on Saturday, Oct 25 said the unique concept was taking up to inculcate values and positive attitude in the minds of the prisoners in the state.
Out of 4000 TTD employees who benefited with house sites, 2000 flats will be constructed soon if employee opted , he said the board also decided to grant Rs 5000/- to each employee of TTD as Brahmotsavam Bahumanam.
On the lines Arjitha sevas being performed in Sri Vari Temple in Tirumala would also be introduced at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram in a phased manner, he added.
Among these who attended the meeting were TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary, Prinicipal Secretary (Rev) G Sudhir, Endowment Commissioner Sundara Kumar, TTD Board Members -- Chavireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Vijaysai Reddy, Ch Sathyanarayana, Yadiah, Mrs Indira Reddy, Sudharshan Reddy, Marri Rajasekhar, R P Goenka, P Sambasiva Raju, Alluru Subramanyam , TTD Spl Officer A V Dharma Reddy, Joint Executive Officer V Seshadhri and Anitha Shah Akella were present.
