HP govt employees given Rs 1000 crore benefits: Dhumal
Kangra, Oct 26 (UNI) Hiamchal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today claimed that the state government had delivered financial benefits worth Rs 1000 crore to the state employees and pensioners and almost all their demands had been fulfilled.
Addressing a public meeting at Dhaneti Khad in Nurpur Assembly segment in the district, after dedicating a motorable bridge over Dhaneti Khad completed at a cost of Rs 44 lakh and another bridge over Chhounch Khad on Sukhar Charuri road, completed at a cost of Rs 77 lakh to the people of the area, he said various promotional avenues were also created and filled up during the period.
He said all the major departments were directed to fill the promotional posts in their departments.
The Chief Minister said over 8200 vacancies were filled up in various departments while another 28,000 posts would be filled up during current year.
An estimated 18,000 of the posts would be filled up in education department with a view to strengthen the department.
Prof Dhumal said the subsidised ration scheme would continue for the benefit of the poorer sections of society. He warned people to remain vigilant against the anti-social elements, who were supplying the subsidised essential commodities at higher rates. MORE UNI XC HS SW AKJ KP2006
