Water level stood at 80.390 ft

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 25 (UNI) In view of continuous rainfall in the catchment areas and the delta region, discharge of water from the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur across River Cauvery remained suspended for the past few days.

PWD sources said the level in the dam stood at 80.390 ft this morning with an inflow of 17,863 cusecs. However, the water discharge from the Grand Anaicut had resumed today.

From the Grand Anaicut, 2525 cusecs of water was released through river Cauvery, 1520 cusecs through Vennar, 2,197 cusecs through Grand Anaicut Canal and 4,708 cusecs through Coleroon for irrigation.
