Talacauvery temple collections up

Madikeri, Oct 25 (UNI) The Hundi collection at Talacauvery was more than last year during the 'Teerthodhbava' held on 'Tula Sankramana' on October 17.

In a press release here today, Temple manager Sampath Kumar said this year the collection was Rs 3,51,907, which was 63,645 more than the last year's collection of Rs 2,88,262.

Apart from cash, the Hundi also contained ten gram gold and 50 gram of silver, he said.

The temple also received silver doors donated by Moodera Jagadish, living in America and gold necklace worth Rs 2.5 lakh, donated by Arun Cariappa, living in Dubai, he added.

Rotary Misty Hills has donated a wheel chair to the temple to take crippled people to the temple from the gate, he said.
