BJP appoints 200 lawyers for elections in 5 states

New Delhi, Oct 25 (UNI) About 200 lawyers were today appointed by the BJP legal cell to monitor assembly elections to five states scheduled for next month.

Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu today appointed a team, headed by senior lawyer Anil Soni, to look into the legal matters arising out of the elections.

An estimated 140 lawyers will monitor the elections in 70 constituencies in Delhi with two lawyers in each constituency.

Lawyers, including Ajay Digpaul, Neeraj and Shikha Pubi, will look into the legal problems arising during the filing of nominations to ensure that all statutory obligations are complied with.
