2 retired Army officials detained in Malegaon blast case
Pune, Oct 25 (UNI) Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police today detained two retired army officials for their alleged role in Malegaon blast, which claimed six lives including a ten-year-old girl and left 150 people injured.
A senior police official told UNI that two retired army officials of the rank of Major General have been detained by Mumbai ATS squad.
State Home Minister R R Patil also confirmed the detention of two Army officials from Pune, this evening. Both were taken to Mumbai ATS office for further interrogation.
The sources also confirmed that the officials who have been arrested, had played a role in the blast and have provided training to the people who were involved in the blast.
