NTPC Q2 net up at 9.61% at Rs 2,110.51 cr

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) State-run power generator NTPC Ltd today said it has posted a 9.61 per cent increase in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 at Rs 2,110.51 crore against Rs 1,925.49 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The company's net sales for Q2FY09 has risen by 20.51 per cent to Rs 9,661.42 crore from Rs 8,016.86 crore in Q2FY08.

Total income for July-September 2008 quarter stood at Rs 10,406.21 crore, recording a growth of 18.94 per cent over the same period last year, the company said in a statement.
