Security tightened following 24-hour PLFI's state bandh call
Ranchi, Oct 23 (UNI) The PLFI sponsored 24-hour Jharkhand bandh began from mid-night last night evoked poor response in Ranchi and elsewhere today.
Police spokesperson S N Pradhan said the security was kepp on alert in districts of Khunti, Latehar, Lohardaga, Simdega, Gumla, Chaibasa and Chatra to meet any eventuality.
So far no untoward incident was reported from any part of the state.
Life was normal and traffic was on the road in the state capital.
However, railway services were disrupted following agaitation in neighbouring Bihar.
The Peolpe's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) called for the bandh to protest against killing of one its cadres--Sikanddar Gop recently at Chatra.
