AP CM asks APMDC to use mineral judiciously

Hyderabad, Oct 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked Andhra Pradesh Mining Development Corporation(APMDC) to go for an in-depth study on the exploitation and use of Fullerene mineral in Kadapa District.

In a release here, Osmania University Geophysics Professor Y Sridhar Murthy, who made a presentation to Dr Reddy and officials of Mines and Geology Department, said the mineral was available only in Russia. It can bring revolutionary changes in aerospace, health, solar power and Nano technology, among others, he added.

Mr Murthy mineral would be useful in making bullet-proof jackets.
