NGOs to strengthen communal harmony
Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) The Haryana government has asked all the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners in the state to identify reputed Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to carry out the objectives of National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH).
A circular to this effect has been issued by the Chief Secretary, an official spokesman said today.
The NGOs could send their detailed profiles directly to the NFCH under intimation to the state government, he said.
NFCH is an autonomous organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
The foundation promotes or undertakes activities for the promotion of communal harmony and national integration under its various projects.
