Residence of Tata Motors Marathi Head attacked by anti-MNS mob

Jamshedpur, Oct 21 (UNI) About 100 people today attacked the residence of Tata Heavy Vehicle unit's Maharashtrian head S B Borwankar here in protest against the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's recent attacks on north Indians and anti-Bihari statements given by party's chief Raj Thackeray.

Some groups here had warned of anti-Marathi attacks in retaliation to the MNS attacks in Mumbai. No arrest has been made in this regard till now.

Police said about 100 people shouting anti-Raj Thackeray slogans attacked Mr Borwankar' residence in at about 1530 hrs. The attackers destroyed property, but there were no reports of any injuries.

Police has not indicated which group could be responsible for the attacks.
