Autorickshawmen morcha at kmc for demanding road repairs

Kolhapur, Oct 20 (UNI) Large number of autorickshawmen took out a morcha today to the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) main office to register their protest against the bad condition of city roads and demanded their repairs.

The morcha was organised by the 'Sarva Vahnadharak Sanghatana' led by its chief Vijay Devane.

Autorickshawmen gathered in Dasara Chowk from where they marched to city's various parts enroute to KMC office.

KMC standing committee chairman Sunil Modi came out from the office and met the agitators in front of the gate and promised to look into the matter.

He assured that the KMC has prepared a plan of about Rs 37 crore to undertake repair works, which will be started from december this year.
