Ten die due to diarrhoea in C'garh
Jagdalpur, CG, Oct 18 (UNI) Ten persons have died and more than 24 taken ill in the past four days due to diarrhoea in Bastar and Bilaspur divisions of Chhattisgarh, official sources said today.
''Six tribals have died, while about 12 people are ill due to diarrhoea in Murtuda village in Bijapur district. A team of doctors have been sent to the village,'' Bijapur Chief Medical Officer R K Gore said.
Two people -- hailing from Pitoda and Singnar villages -- died while undergoing treatment primary healthcare centre at Farsagaon block in Bastar district.
Sadhan Singh Kanwar (60) and a 55-year-old woman died due to the disease at Barpali village in Korba district yesterday.
Korba block medical officer Deepak Singh Raj said doctors were providing treatment to affected in Barpali village and the situation was under control.
