Sikh businessman shot dead in Bangkok
Bangkok, Oct 18 (UNI) A 70-year-old Sikh man of Indian origin has been gunned down in downtown Bangkok allegedly over a business dispute.
Sawat Settee, who ran a textile business, was found dead in his Volvo car in Bangkok's upmarket Sukhumvit area yesterday.
According to eye witnesses, Sawat's car was followed by two men on a motorcycle and the pillion rider shot at him before the duo fled away.
The owner of a textile factory in Thailand's Prachin Buri province, Sawat had offices in Bangkok. His factory was being auctioned under court orders and Sawat had appealed against the auction.
