Infiltration bid foiled, 3 militants killed in Poonch
Jammu, Oct 18 (UNI) Three militants were gunned down by the Army while they were trying to infiltrate into this side of the border in Keri Sector of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here today said.
''A group of militants after cutting the fence, opened fire on the Army and tried to sneak into the Indian Territory this afternoon from Peer Badeshwar area in Keri Sector,'' sources told UNI and added that the Army retaliated the fire and during exchange of bullets three militants were killed.
However, a major infiltration bid was foiled by the troops of 2 Sikh LI.
Major Infiltration attempts are being made by the militants from across the border for the past one month.
