Special steps demanded to prevent spread of diarrohea
Darbhanga, Oct 17 (UNI) JD(U) leader Vinod Kumar Choudhary today claimed seven deaths have taken place because of water-borne disease and demanded rushing of medical teams to the affected villages of the district.
Mr Choudhary, an MLC, alleged the District Health Department had failed to check diarrhoea as it had taken an epidemic form at Hayaghat, Benipuri and Manigachi. At least seven people have died of the disease at Benipuri, he claimed.
He also sought an intervention of the State Health Minister to check the spreading of the disease.
The medical teams were yet to reach the affected villages and the patients were being treated with the help of a few local doctors.
