Pakistan police arrest 40 militants near Peshawar
Peshawar, Oct 17: Pakistani police arrested 40 suspected foreign militants in a lawless tribal region near the northwestern city of Peshawar on Thursday, Oct 16 sources said on Friday, Oct 17.
A local police official said that these people were moving out of Darra Adam Khel in two vehicles when police arrested them at a checkpost. He said they were all Uzbeks and looked like militants from their appearance, adding that police shifted them to an undisclosed location for interrogation to find out why they had gone to Darra and what was their next destination. He added that the arrested did not possess any travel documents but their residential address was that of Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan.
