Groundnut, its oil steady; RBD Palm oil falls

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil remained steady on scattered buying, while RBD palmolein further down amid lack of demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oilseeds (per quintal), barring castorseed Hyderabad all oilseeds remained steady on scattered buying by stockists.

Castorseed hyderabad rose by Rs 50 per quintal on sustained demand by bulk consumers.

In oils (per ten kg), RBD palm oil and cottonseed refined declined by Rs 8 and Rs 5 per ten kg on poor offtake.

Seasame expeller shot up by Rs 20 per ten kg on brisk buying support by bulk consumers.

In de-oiled cakes undec cottonseed further rose by Rs 200 Per Metric Tonn (PMT) on lesser stock supply by dealers, traders added.
