One hideout busted, RDX arms, ammunition recovered in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 13 (UNI) Security forces and Jammu and Kashmir police busted two hideouts and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition, including deadly RDX, in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

They said police busted a hideout at Chitragam in south Kashmir district of Shopian. The arms and ammunition recovered from the hideout included one ak 56 rifle, five magzines, 60 rounds of ammunition, three mortar shells, one grenade and four kg of RDX.

no one was arrested.

In another operation security forces and police recovered two hand grenade, one UBGL and four rounds of ammunition from Yabugh Dangiwacha after a brief encounter during which a cowshed was damaged. However, militants managed to escape, they said.
