Jharkhand CM calls for improving state's internal security
New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren today stressed the need for enhancing the role of internal security in view of the prevailing situation in the country.
Speaking at the National Integration Council (NIC) meet here, Mr Soren said the Centre should chalk out plans regarding national building strategy by which maximum people could be involved in the developmental work of the country.
The government should draw an action plan for the speedy uplift of the minority communities in the country.
Mr Soren said to improve the economic and social condition of the tribals, who constitute over 37 per cent population of the state, has drawn up a Rs 700-crore plan, for the year 2008-09. According to it, all children between the age group of one and eight years would be provided free education.
He said all schools, including the Madrasas, run by the minority communities will be served mid-day meals.
Besides, the state government will pay salaries of the teachers of 186 identified Madarsas.
