New York, Oct 13 : American socialite Ivana Trump has likened herself to Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, insisting they've a lot in common.
Eight years ago, when Trump was in Anchorage, Alaska, promoting her perfume and jewellery lines, Palin drove for two hours to meet her.
"She stood in line to get the perfume and a signed copy of my book," the New York Post quoted her, as saying.
"We have a lot in common. She's down to earth; I'm down to earth. In business, I use the skills I picked up as a ski champion rather than shooting moose, but there's nothing wrong with that," she added.
Recently, Trump offered to hold a fundraiser for Palin in her home, but the timing didn't work out.
"She wrote me an e-mail and thanked me," Trump said.
"I think she's fabulous. We need somebody with a solid mind to straighten things out in Washington because if America doesn't straighten up, the whole world is going to go down," she added.
