Aurobindo Pharma gets US FDA nod for Risperidone

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) Drug firm Aurobindo Pharma Ltd today said it has received US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) approval for risperidone, an anti-psychotic drug used for the treatment of schizophrenia.

The company has received approval for 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, one mg, two mg, three mg and four mg tablets of Risperidone, it said in a statement.

Risperidone is the generic version of Janssen Pharmaceutica's Risperdal tablets and had sales of 1.07 billion dollars in the first half of this year, it added.
