Kate Middleton slogs at parent's firm to kick out 'lazy' tag

London, October 12 : Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton has been slogging round the clock at her parent's firm after being annoyed with claims that she's lazy.

The 26-year-old, who has had just one part-time job with high street fashion giants 'Jigsaw', is reportedly upset by allegations that the Queen had told aides she should get a "proper job" after leaving university.

Now, the graduate has devoted herself to a full-time job with her parents' "Party Pieces" and is said to be toiling late, going without lunch and working even when the rest of the staff has called it a day.

Kate, who is now amongst the key executives at the firm, is said to be heading the department of website designing and is also responsible for getting new clients.

"She was very upset over the criticism," the Daily Star quoted a friend as saying.

The friend said: "She isn't lazy but like a lot of graduates she's found the jobs market pretty tough to crack.

"The fact she's Prince William's girlfriend doesn't mean a thing on her CV."

However, Kate's work has let her to encourage her ambition of starting her own business someday while making royal beau take pride in her.

"She wants to make William proud of her," said a family friend.
