Relief from warm, humid weather in Delhi; Mercury down to 34.3 deg

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The denizens of Delhi today got some relief from the warm and humid weather prevailing in Delhi for the last few days with the mercury dropping to 34.3 degrees Celsius.

After warm and humid conditions over the week, the maximum temperature dropped from 35.7 degrees yesterday to 34.3 degrees.

Though the minimum temperature was still two degrees above normal at 21.9 degrees Celsius, by and large a pleasant weather prevailed in the city.

This relief from warm and humid weather is likely to persist in the coming days with the weatherman forecasting some precipitation in Delhi and other parts of Northwest India during the next two to three days under the influence of a fresh Western disturbance.

''A feeble Western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from October 13 onwards. It is likely to cause scattered precipitation over parts of Northwest India. This scenario is likely to continue during the next 2-3 days,''the Met office said.

The weatherman has also forecast a decrease in maximum and minimum temperatures to 34 and 21 degrees tomorrow respectively.
